Privacy Policy

Updated May 10, 2026

How Vibatorial handles your data. We collect the minimum needed to function, never sell your information, and use no third-party tracking or advertising SDKs.

What We Collect

Vibatorial collects the minimum data needed to function:

  • Photos you choose to use. When you select a photo from your library or take one with the camera, that single image is sent — over an encrypted connection — to our backend, which forwards it to Anthropic for one inference call. The image is used only to generate the editorial decisions for your cover (headline, subhead, palette, layout). It is not retained on our servers and not stored by Anthropic per their no-training, no-retention policy.
  • A small slice of EXIF metadata. When your photo carries EXIF, Vibatorial extracts a few fields on your device before the image is rasterized: capture timestamp, camera make and model, and a coarse region label derived from GPS (one of fifteen broad buckets like “western_us” or “southeast_asia”). Raw GPS coordinates never leave your device. The metadata is used as a vocabulary nudge for the AI (e.g. picking “golden hour” register on a sunset photo). You may strip EXIF from your photo before importing if you’d rather we use no metadata at all.
  • Settings and brand-guide preferences. Brand colors, typography choices, default editorial mode, and watermark settings are stored locally on your device. Nothing in your brand guide is uploaded to our servers.
  • In-app purchase records.Apple processes all purchases of Vibatorial Pro. We never see your card number, billing address, or Apple ID email. After Apple confirms a purchase, your device tells our servers the transaction identifier, the product purchased, the purchase date, and (for subscriptions) the next renewal or expiration date. This is used only to verify entitlement; feature access is controlled on-device by Apple’s StoreKit framework.

What We Don’t Collect

  • We don’t sell your data. Ever.
  • We don’t use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking frameworks.
  • We don’t use the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA).
  • We don’t store your photos. Each image is forwarded for one inference call and discarded.
  • We don’t store raw GPS coordinates. EXIF GPS, when present, is coarsened to a 15-bucket region label on your device before any network call.
  • We don’t share personal information with advertisers.
  • We don’t require an account, email address, or social login to use Vibatorial.

How AI Is Used

Vibatorial is a layout and composition app, not an image-generation app. AI generates editorial decisions— headline, subhead, color palette, layout strategy, typography — and your device composes the cover locally using SwiftUI and bundled fonts.

  • Inference provider:Anthropic Claude (Sonnet 4.6 for “viral” personality voices; Haiku 4.5 for the editorial baseline and refined voices).
  • What’s sent:the photo you chose, optional EXIF context (time-of-day bucket, broad region, camera model — see above), and your brand-guide preferences if Pro.
  • What’s returned: structured JSON describing the cover (headline, subhead, palette, layout, framing intent). No image data is generated by AI.
  • Retention:Anthropic’s published API policy is no-training and no-retention by default. We do not log photo bytes. The inference response is rendered on-device.
  • Sanitization: all EXIF strings are sanitized server-side against Unicode zero-width and bidi-format characters before being injected into the AI prompt. Region and time-of-day fields are enum-allowlisted.

Third-Party Services

Vibatorial uses the following services to operate. Your data is only shared with these providers as necessary for core app functionality:

  • Supabase— backend hosting for the AI inference proxy. The proxy receives your image, calls Anthropic, and returns the response. No image bytes are persisted.
  • Anthropic (Claude)— AI inference for editorial decisions. Photos and EXIF context are forwarded for one inference call and not retained.
  • Apple StoreKit— subscription and one-time purchase processing. We never see your payment information.

None of these services are used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Email Communications

Vibatorial does not collect your email address. We do not send marketing emails. There is no in-app email capture form. If a future version adds email-based features, they will be opt-in only and disclosed here before launch.

Children’s Privacy

Vibatorial is designed for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently received such information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data Retention

  • Photos: never retained. Forwarded to Anthropic for one inference call and discarded.
  • EXIF context: never retained. Used only during the inference call.
  • AI response (JSON): not retained on our servers; rendered on-device and stored locally if you save the vibe.
  • Saved vibes (history): stored locally on your device. Removing the app removes them.
  • Subscription records: retained for the lifetime of your subscription plus a short audit window required for billing reconciliation, then deleted.

Your Rights

You can:

  • Stop using the app at any time. Uninstall removes all locally-stored data.
  • Decline to use the camera or photo library. The app will still let you adjust your brand guide and view your past saved vibes.
  • Delete saved vibes from your local history at any time via the History screen.
  • Request deletion of any subscription record by emailing the address below; we will delete on request, subject to legal retention requirements for tax records.

International Users

Vibatorial is operated from the United States. By using the app, you consent to the transfer of the limited data described above to the United States. We comply with applicable data protection laws including the GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California). Residents of the EU and California have rights of access, correction, and deletion as described in those laws.

Changes

We may update this policy. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Substantive changes will be flagged in the app and on this page.
